Social Media Intern

I am currently a Social Media Specialist for Indiana University Athletics in Bloomington, Indiana. I am excited to graduate from IU in May, and can't wait to start working in the public relations sphere.

•	Captured pictures and videos for the Indiana Athletics Instagram and Twitter page that have gained many new followers in the past two months.
•	Created a weekly schedule for all interns and pitched new ideas for social media that resulted in new content and more followers on the social media page.
•	Shot and edited highlight videos for the department's YouTube page.
•	Developed the Indiana University Pinterest page and am solely responsible for adding relevant content throughout the week.

•	Men's soccer and women's rowing daily beat writer and completed approximately three stories a week.
•	Wrote feature and preview stories on a deadline.
•	Interviewed coaches and players to get quality content for my articles.
•	Communicated knowledge through Twitter by live tweeting games and posting breaking news updates throughout the week.

Sports Reporter

•	Marked highlights during live game footage of the Chicago White Sox, Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks that were later used in on broadcasted highlight reels.
•	Edited video for the news shows using Avid and Aurora.
•	Developed scripts for on air talent.
•	Conducted interviews with professional athletes that were later used for broadcasted post game coverage.

•	Developed two stories a week for the daily newscasts.
•	Wrote stories for the website along with live tweeting IU sporting events throughout the fall semester.
•	Edited my own video stories on the Avid editing system.
•	Composed my own scripts and voice over for television and radio packages.

Reporting Intern

•	Managed pool staff two days a week.
•	Maintained proper chemical levels.
•	Provided staff training twice a week.

Head Lifeguard/Managing Staff

•	Surveyed the pool, looking for potential emergencies.
•	Taught swim lessons four days a week.
•	Answered patron questions and kept deck clean.
