• Ensure digital literacy in the areas of vector vs. bitmap graphics, typography basics, color output and integration for print and web
• Instruct students in basic to intermediate skills in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign

• Responsible for the overall structure, direction, creation, implementation, management and execution of the design and development phases associated with each brand and their associated products
• Creation of design, layout and mock-up of all corresponding collateral, catalogs, trade show and vendor images
• Work directly with licensors (Disney, Marvel, Sanrio, DC Comics, Hasbro, DreamWorks) to clarify direction and approval of artwork
• Improve the overall efficiency of the Art Department through the creation, implementation and management of a time-study process
• Guide, direct, educate and motivate team members, setting performance standards and providing reviews and corrective action, when necessary
• Maintain fiscal budget for the Art Department
• Support Exxel’s corporate identity along with each brand and product category with research, forecasting and suggested direction through data analysis
• Responsible for the direction and management of all photo shoots, including relevant equipment, talent and contracts
• Ensure clear and efficient cataloging, storage and backup of the Art Department’s data files

• Researched archives of high-potential art and other media assets
• Collaborated with lines of business to select art and design concepts
