I started this position as a sales person in Action Sports. This includes knowledge of bikes, car racks, camping, climbing, hiking, nutrition, and navigation. This position has progressed to being trained in bicycle repair, cashiering and ski and
snowboard shop technician work. Recently I have been trained as an Outdoor School Instructor where I am responsible for taking guests out into the field for snowshoeing, photography, rock climbing and other classes.

My primary responsibility was to help customers identify which products best fit their needs. The store specialized in hiking, biking, climbing in the summer and ski, snowboard, snowshoe and cross country ski gear in the winter. In addition to sales, I received merchandise and managed inventory, processed all the shipping for online purchases, managed the warranty department and did radio guests spots when needed for advertising.

In addition to the duties as a sales associate, I was also responsible for a consignment department with over 400 items. This included taking items into the store from our customers, entering all the data into our computer database, taking a picture and attaching a description and finally posting the item onto our website. Additional responsibilities included handling the shipping and receiving room and restocking.
