Danielle Clow

I was born in Florida and raised in a small surf town called New Smyrna Beach. My interest in surfing led me to become an avid competitive surfer throughout high school. After my mother moved to the Bay Area, I became a traveling bi-coastal gal and made Santa Cruz, CA my second home surf spot. I attended University of California Santa Cruz for freshman and sophomore years, but transferred to Auburn University to pursue my passion in the fashion design industry. Now, I am a senior studying Apparel Merchandising, Design, and Production Management. Beyond my Apparel Design and Merchandising education, I bring real-world experience in the world of work and as an entrepreneur. While supporting myself as an undergraduate through my job at Cellairis (a growing cell phone accessory store), I was able to double store-wide sales in two store locations by taking the initiative to create social media and related advertising channels. In addition, I have been creating and producing my own clothing and swim designs as an entrepreneur on the side. My final step as a young designer is to complete an internship with a company to further my experience and skills in the design industry. I am looking for a fast-paced apparel design internship and I am available to start in January 2015 for a 400-hour internship to complete my degree requirements. I am thirsty to learn the fashion industry by seeing the full production and design process. My goal is to combine my love of the ocean, design, and people with my deep understanding of beach cultures to create innovative and functional apparel for men and women of all ages.
