Process Engineer

I am passionate about getting the job done with integrity.  I am also capable of working with people and helping them to personally and professionally grow.

•	Provide design detail for production employees to manufacture and deliver Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Continuous Trail Unmanned Vessel (ACTUV) project
•	Research equipment and interact with vendors and manufacturers for procurement of components following customer contract specifications and documentation requirements including Material Certifications, Drawings, an American Bureau of Shipping standards (ABS) 
•	Communicate with customers and contractors regarding contract and scope clarifications, design review, schedule updates, installation inspections, delivery or equipment, etc. 
•	Utilize Lean Manufacturing Value Added Management System to work with planners, position manager, quality control, and foremen to develop a production sequence (WaveBoard)

•	Provide evaluation, recommendation and implementation of testing procedures and strategies 
•	Advise testing team on testing operations while acting as a liaison with outside vendors and surveyors to deliver $30 million final project
•	Train operators on system operations including mechanical and electrical functions of equipment, instruments, Manual vs. Auto system operation and process/equipment safety
•	Assist customers and plant operators during pre-commissioning and start-up including mechanical and electrical check-outs, initial startup on water, and troubleshooting techniques to optimize the system operations

Test Engineer

•	Review and create P&IDs, Process Flow Diagrams, Instrument/Equipment Lists, Operating Manuals, Test Reports, Inspection Test Reports, and Isometric piping diagrams providing recommendations for improvements
•	Detail design of systems in commercial & marine applications via SolidWorks and AutoCAD
•	Field verify layouts, equipment review and selection, mechanical systems calculations, detail fabrication and installation drawings for production engineering 
•	Interface with vendors in developing designs and obtaining pricing information

Marine/Mechanical Design Engineer

•	Develop and review test and operating procedures for electrical instrumentation, control systems and fluid systems for all phases of reactor plant testing, giving consideration to all system operation requirements, safety precautions, radiological and quality control requirements
•	Reviews the design, the assembly and the installation of test equipment into reactor plant fluid systems for adequacy of design and compliance with NAVSEA technical requirements
•	Critique problems using process maps, causal analysis, cause maps and aligned corrective actions
•	Develop and track metrics to identify and improve the testing process

Nuclear Engineer

Work directly with WSUV instructors to research heat transfer and fluid dynamics in various projects from volcanic flow to micro-channel heat dissipation and fluid flow.  Assist instructors in guiding BSME students in their studies and facilitate laboratory courses and experiments.

Teaching Assistant

Supervised 13 dozen employees in a union environment to manufacture all aspects of plywood ensuring quality of the product and safety of the employees.

General Supervisor

Operate and perform basic preventive maintenance on propulsion plant mechanical systems, support systems, turbines, pumps, and valves.
