Digital Media Tester

7+ years retail Management specializing in Operations and Sales, 
5+ years of TV news production, responsible for 30-60 minute newscasts for NBC and ABC affiliates.  
I am looking to use my skills to improve organizations and lead them to the top of their game.

Responsible for Quality Control of Digital Television Programs and Feature Films.  This job requires a high degree of attention to detail as video errors can occur in as little as 1/30 of a second.  Testers must also be able to communicate effectively to describe issues so that they can be fixed in future versions of the file.  Duties include detailed checks of file formats, media length, and detailed reporting of any audio or video issues to leaders before the media is passed on to printers or online entities for public consumption.

Responsible for daily operations of a Retail Garden Center with a focus on maintaining high visual standards and limiting loss due to spoilage.  Duties include: Ordering and Recieving product, Scheduling, Auditing of Store Funds and Deposits, Managing a staff of 8-10, Communicating daily sales goals to associates, management, and corporate managers, Weekly store walks with the Regional Manager, and vendors, interviewing of prospective team members and coaching/disciplining existing team members.

Duties include: Scheduling, Auditing of Store Funds and Deposits, Managing a staff of 15-20, Communicating daily sales goals to associates, management, and corporate managers, Weekly store reports and conference calls with the Regional Manager, Corporate Buyers, and Company President, interviewing of prospective team members and coaching/disciplining existing team members.  Achieved multiple Sales Increase Bonuses for various KPI.

Responsible for all technical scripting, re-writing of select stories, pacing, and timing of a 30 minute local news show.  Producers monitor locations of news crew and ongoing news events to get the most up to date and accurate information to the public.  Producers must have the ability to operate well under stress, have effective written and spoken communication skills and be able to work with a wide variety of people.

News Producer

Responsible for all technical scripting, re-writing of select stories, pacing, and timing of a local news show ranging between 30 minutes and 2 hours.  Producers monitor locations of news crew and ongoing news events to get the most up to date and accurate information to the public.  Producers must have the ability to operate well under stress, have effective written and spoken communication skills and be able to work with a wide variety of people.  This position required a high degree of flexibility as I produced every newscast in the weekly schedule at one time or another.

Responsible for Daily operations of $2M retail business.  Responsibilities include scheduling, daily sales goals, HR, and trainingOversee all aspects of daily operations for Vans Shoes Outlet.  Duties include Aspects of Staff Training, Facility Maintenance, Stock Level Monitoring, Visual Standards, Scheduling, and Daily Sales Goals.  Assisted in organization of back stock on site as well as maintaining organization in multiple off-site storage units.  Responsible for overseeing a staff of 10-15 employees.  Recipient of the Communications Award, District 11, Secret Shopper Award for Outstanding Customer Service, and part of the Vans Sales Award 3 years running.
