Communications Specialist

Hello, my name is Mark Stansbury and I am a proud MBA and Communications Specialist at Gradiant, a clean water startup founded at MIT. My primary role is creating thought leadership content to enhance the brand's presence across PR, social media, and SEO platforms.  Prior to my sustainability roles, I spent years of experience managing ecommerce websites with specialties in Shopify, Klaviyo, and essential analytics software. In addition to my career, I enjoy surfing, hiking, snowboarding, and spending time outdoors!

Gradiant is a billion-dollar cleantech startup, originally founded at MIT and featured in Forbes. As a key member of Gradiant's global marketing team, I manage creating thought leadership content to enhance the brand's presence across PR, social media, and SEO platforms. 

Key achievements include:
-Spearheading the successful launch of Gradiant's blog, email newsletter, and KPI metrics; contributing to a 125% increase in overall website traffic and a 3X increase in site-generated leads in 2023.

-Managing a 6-month brand relaunch, which included overseeing the build of a new website featuring HubSpot for leads, news & insights, customer success stories, and white papers.

-Orchestrated a global marketing campaign to take 374Water public on NASDAQ, with televised coverage of the Opening Bell Ceremony in New York.

-Developed KPI-driven content, including case studies, blogs, videos, and initiated a newsletter with a subscription list surpassing 3,000 subscribers and achieving an impressive 28% open rate on MailChimp.


Marketing Manager

As an official Shopify Partner and Brooklyn-based creative ad agency, my role at ECOY is to oversee and manage the day-to-day marketing tasks for our eCommerce accounts. These services include: copywriting, design, email, project management, PPC, social media, and KPI measurement.

By selling hundreds of surf products on Facebook Marketplace, I was contracted by Meta to a brand ambassadorship in 2018. We have since collaborated on several social media campaigns, including one national commercial.

As a Freelance Content Producer, I deliberate with The Inertia editors on key news topics in surf, snow, and the outdoors. Since 2015, I have corresponded on a diverse range of topics from the Olympics to World Surf League and more.

By building out the overall content strategy for the leading eCommerce marketing and loyalty agency in Los Angeles, we increased blog traffic by 210% and overall site traffic by 120%. I also collaborated on a mix of white papers and guest blogs to establish Annex Cloud as a thought leader in the industry.

Content Marketing Manager

During my tenure at ASO, I was able to implement several key organizational changes. In addition to being the project manager on the brand migration from Alpine Sports Outfitters to ASO Mammoth, I also designed the new logo and marketing collateral. I also migrated their products to an eCommerce ecosystem, built out their shop on Amazon Vendor Portal, and exceeded KPI benchmarks for the marketing department.

In addition to overseeing projects for the marketing, SEO, and web design departments, I am responsible for managing and creating all marketing-related content for public relations, website, print/digital advertising, social media, email, and third party integration campaigns.
