Mechanical Engineer

1. Design original or “make from” enclosures/sheet metal parts using Solidworks and Design CAD 3000 (including BOM/ Parts List). Use common industry practices to determine proper processes based on application and customer requirements.
2. Create and maintain spreadsheet matrix for multiple project tracking (Receiving Log, Job Order log, Label making database). 
3. Write procedure documents (work instructions, travelers, SOP, Quality manual sections, AS9102 inspection forms, procedure for paint processes per customer standards). 
4. Handle NCR/MRB processes inclusing corrective & preventative action. Root cause analysis performed informally. Also participated in customer based inspections and ISO/AS audits. 
5. Work as liaison between customer and supplier for customer service, and for purchase order review board (reviewing customer data package to assure compliance).

1. Use Solidworks & 3D-Scanner (with Geomagic software) to create tooling and trim fixtures for thermoformed interior components. 
2. Attend meetings to discuss engineering flow and time estimations as the engineering/drafting representative.
3. Assist is plant re-location and develop an engineering team using knowledge of 3D-rendering software (Solidworks) and design processes. 
4. Follow through with production process down to and including inspection (AS9102).

Tooling Designer

1. Reverse engineer aircraft interior parts using inspection tools and the appropriate software. 
2. Create BOM’s and material callouts using Inventory software. 
3. Use creativity and knowledge of machining process to create new parts and/or modifications to aircraft seating. Designs include 2D/3D designs, various material types (composites and metals) and production processes. 
4. Participate in cradle to grave project as drafting lead, and attend PDR/CDR meetings representing the drafting team for project.

Reverse Engineer/Drafter

1. Write Engineering Change Orders and CMM Supplements. 
2. Reverse engineer parts using FARO Arm/ Laser Scanner, then Solidworks/AutoCAD to make the drawings.
