Thomas Emmanuel Schambach is a designer, illustrator and creative artisan hailing from the
mountains of North Carolina. He has served in design studios both large in small from
Miami, Florida to Portland, Oregon. Thomas is currently based in San Diego, CA where he
freelances and continues to run the creative process for a small music management boutique.
Prior to San Diego, he has occupied several studios both full-time and freelance. His recent
studio experience includes Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Boulder Colorado and Peet Kegler
in Portland Oregon. In 2009 he spent 3 months digging wells in the bush of Sudandocumenting
the non-profit he accompanied. He then lived in a heatless recreational vehicle
in Vancouver, BC visualizing his breath and hiking the rain soaked mountains
Thomas constantly seeks to expand his potential in both digital and organic forms of visual
communication and design. He loves learning from those who precede him--innovative
concepts, efficient craft and encouragement are among the treasures Thomas is hunting for.
Aside from design, Thomas enjoys shooting small films and recording music. When he’s not
soaking up rays from his cinema display--you can find him out exploring and documenting
the world through both still and motion media. Thomas has recently dove into the world of
wood craftsmanship--ranging from furniture making to, signage via CNC routing.
Thomas would love to partner with creative studios, individuals and any team that seeks to
grow and cultivate lasting relationships and positive impressions through the use of art,
design and creative strategy.
