Independent contractor with the ability to train and operate vessels up to 100 tons. Proficient with inboard engines, outboard engines, surface drives and jet drives.

Supervise and manage all employees to make sure all day to day aspects of the hotel and restaurant are running smoothly at Buena Onda. Provide the best customer service to our guests and meet all needs and wants during their stay with us. Oversee and manage all maintenance to provide guests of Buena Onda with the best accommodation and experience while traveling to our paradise in Nicaragua. Guide guests to the best surfing destinations and provide guided fishing trips in south western Nicaragua depending on current swell and weather conditions. Ensure the safety of all guests while either on boat or car trips and make sure all of their needs are met.

Certified Maritime Instructor training members of the CNIA (Critical National Infrastructure Authority) for the United Arab Emirates General Headquarters (GHQ). 
Instructing and mentoring selected members of the United Arab Emirates Coast Guard on all courses offered by the training school including basic and advanced boat handling and tactical techniques to lead them to become a world renowned Maritime Search and Rescue and Security Force.

MARITIME INSTRUCTOR

Licensed as a Ship's Captain (up to 100 ton vessel) and trusted to manage ships for some of the company's most important contract clients including the U.S. Navy and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).  
Safely operate vessels for contract clients on the West and East Coasts and provide key decision-making on daily ship operations, navigation, crew management, and safety.

VESSEL CAPTAIN

Served in increasingly challenging leadership positions as a Tactical Coxswain, Training Officer, and Federal Boarding Officer aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Edisto at San Diego and while stationed at USGC Station Los Angeles/Long Beach.  Honorably discharged. 
Met intense daily challenges operating Coast Guard vessels up to 110' and used best management practices performing boating safety, waterway navigation, security, and search and rescue duties involving private, commercial, and high capacity passenger vessels.
Fostered team work with senior officers, managers, and cross-functional internal staff; mentored and led a staff of as many as 10 Coast Guard members; and worked with local, regional, and national agencies to maximize homeland security and achieve the USCG's internal mission.
Certified as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer charged with enforcing U.S. laws, rules and regulations and key part of a boarding team on numerous routine and emergency missions.

FEDERAL BOARDING OFFICER / TRAINING OFFICER/ SMALL BOAT COXSWAIN

Partnered with a Territory Sales Representative to drive sales of action sports merchandise and led efforts to develop new accounts, launch new merchandise, and promote brand awareness. 
Helped represent multiple snow board, skate board, and surfing merchandise manufacturers and worked with client sales teams to grow in-store customer traffic and expand sales.
