R&TS Engineer

•	Working to re-design and enhance performance of current fruit sorting machines
•	Design of new overhead weighing device to weigh fruit along high speed conveyor
•	Responsible for design and testing of new consumer grade juicer
•	Work alongside electrical/software engineers to integrate all components  together for seamless operation
•	Finding alternative components that are cost feasible while still maintaining Sunkist quality 


•	Developed a patented method for reducing electrical resistivity of silicon carbide mechanical seals
•	Performing complete tear downs of actively used mechanical seals in Nuclear power plants
•	Performing laser surface treatments on mechanical seals using an Excimer and YAG laser
•	Work closely with manufacturing to discuss cost/benefit analysis for manufacturing methods 
•	Designing of various components that make up nuclear seals using 3-D modeling software
•	Responsible for managing multiple projects at once
•	Performing surface traces of carbon and silicon carbide seals to examine wear patterns
•	Active member of the internal audit team


R&D Engineer

•	Developed a method for actuating and freezing high pressure vitreous cutters at various pressures
•	Diagnosed root cause of failures in prototype illumination/laser cannulas
•	Performed verification and validation testing procedures (tensile, flow, pressure, and function tests) 
•	Used x-ray machines to identify depth of cut on prototype vitreous cutters
•	Tested prototype input cannulas on animal/cadaver eyes 
•	Performed competitor analysis against similar glaucoma surgery instruments  
•	Worked closely together with design engineers to discuss test results and data reduction
