Kazbah Wizard

Using existing relationships from buying at other companies as well forging new relationships with brands from all fashion genres to create a diverse marketplace experience for the Karmaloop customer. 

Kazbah initially started as a breeding ground for emerging and fledgling t-shirt vendors to sell their wares online. In order to grow and adapt we aggressively went after categories like cut and sew, Denim, joggers, outerwear, etc. By 2012 we created a 7-figure jewelry and accessories business to complement our growing apparel offerings as well. 

Duties include but are not limited to: -Acquiring and managing new Kazbah accounts/applicants. 
-Using sales data and performance metrics to amplify the sales and business of existing Kazbah brands.

I was the 2nd buyer on payroll at Jackthreads and was their 5th employee in 2009.

In a very fast-paced environment and with very little overall experience I quickly added new vendors in every category from Streetwear and contemporary to electronics and jewelry. 

In addition to using a budget and open to buy to fill dollars, we moved volume quickly through pre-sale and fulfillment "buys" and partnerships.

Around 2011 I was promoted to associate accessories buyer and helped grow categories like watches, jewelry, headwear and sunglasses. It was through the accessories buying I learned much more rigorous negotiation and curation strategies. Buying only from vendors with high margins and doing fulfillment with vendors who couldn't meet our price point or margin needs. All of this helped me to grasp a full understanding of balancing consumer demand and how it intersects with the needs of an ever-changing industry and flash sale web platform.
