Copywriter

I specialize in writing product descriptions, marketing promotions, and editorial content for Backcountry.com. Although I'm experienced with many of the activities we specialize in, including hiking, camping, and cycling, my specialties lie in action sports (ASR). Originally a Southern boy who drifted out West for college in search of concrete skateparks and outdoor adventures, I ended up becoming a diehard snowboarder who never left. My passions include snowboarding, skating, the mountains, the desert, camping, hiking, floating rivers, playing golf (usually poorly), and hanging out with my dog, Hank.

•	Write descriptions for 60-80 products each week spanning multiple categories, but with an emphasis on ASR, especially snowboarding and its associated lifestyle

•	Constantly educate myself, whether through others or first-hand experience, about gear that I'm less familiar with in order to more accurately and authentically write about our products

•	Create sales copy that engages, educates, and, ultimately, converts
•	Understand the audiences of each site and connect with customers using an authentic voice
•	Guide ASR marketing to ensure it aligns with core values and needs of board sports enthusiasts
•	Produce editorial content that educates and inspires customers while also boosting SEO value
