My Current Projects:

Learning the engineering design process for screw conveyors

Creating modular installation, operation, and maintenance material to be customized per project

Creating a standardized part library, in SolidWorks, to facilitate faster, more consistent designs utilizing more cost effective structural configurations

My main responsibility at Watlow was the transformation of our current design process. They used a 2D CAD system from 10 years ago, and I was been tasked with implementing SolidWorks. During this implementation, I was also completely revolutionizing the way they designed. The new design processes would be more Lean, remove production instructions from the current designs, provide more accurate details to production, as well as help with overall flow of design work from customer to customer. I was implementing the tools necessary to facilitate global design processes, allowing them to utilize their sister facilities around the world for both production and design.

I had one direct report contractor who assisted me with the above project.

I also worked as local CAD administrator and SolidWorks expert. I was in charge of yearly upgrades, as well as the central point of contact for any SolidWorks training or issues that arise.

Contract Engineer

While with Mid-Continent, I was tasked with designing general aviation instrumentation gauges. I took customer requirements, converted them into a product, and was in charge of the product from conception through production. I was also the first line of support for any issues post-delivery.

I was also trained and task with managing a large project around the introduction of a new product. I was sent to project management class, then worked to develop a realistic timeline for the project completion. It was then my task to make sure the project reached its milestones.
