+AMY CRAWFORD Raised in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, via the deep suburbs of Tennessee, Amy Crawford is happy to call Portland home. With her background in editorial writing and editing, Amy honed her skills being on the editorial staffs of Shape Magazine, Fit Pregnancy and Rock & Ice in the first part of her career. Her work has appeared in Outside, Backpacker, Hooked on The Outdoors, Glamour and Women’s Health. Taking her creative wordsmithing to the next level, Amy became one half of an elite public relations team for The North Face. She increased media coverage 200 percent in one year and 300 percent in two years, regularly landing cover and award opportunities for her company. Amy is credited with securing more than 800 media hits for The North Face Endurance Challenge in which athlete Dean Karnazes ran 50 Marathons in 50 States in 50 consecutive days. In 2009 Amy founded National Camping Month, June, as a way to encourage outdoor participation, create brand awareness and enable exploration. In 2011, Amy joined the team at KEEN Footwear as Marketing Manager, Product Storyteller, bringing the stories of KEEN products and initiatives to life through innovative copy, design, video and consumer-facing strategy. Amy has collaborated with companies such as Patagonia, PrAna, Save the Waves, DeFeet, Julbo, Evolv, Verde Communications and Hi-Tec.
