Adam Braksator


My motivation in 2015 is to gain employment in a media related field. I am a published journalist with experience in many facets of the media industry. I graduated from a Bachelor of Journalism majoring in International Relations from Bond University, Australia in June 2014. My most recent work was with Network 7 Australia (Seven West Media) in which I was a production assistant for regular television programing. Previously, I worked for as an editor and digital producer for the international news media company. As a start up company, I had to be adaptable and responsive into error reporting and quality control. During my time with the company, unique online visitors rose sharply to rival number of The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, Melbourne. We also started a social media campaign which saw a 300% increase in followers in the first month alone. Whilst at university I was proactive and gained a paid role with During my time with the company, it rose to be Australia’s number one independent music website. On a weekly basis, I would write features, reviews, interviews and break music related news. Punctuality and the ability to write and edit fast was crucial within this role. I also have experience writing for magazines, working for radio stations as well as running Public Relations campaigns. Furthermore, I have completed two news internships. One was with Australia’s premiere city news station, Channel 7 News, Brisbane, Australia – the other with a local newspaper located in Tweed Heads, Australia. In 2013, I won the Sally A. White industry award for investigative journalism for an Australian politics piece about the disparity within the Rudd/Gillard parliamentary sitting. This was a national trending article, which featured on Overall, I am ambitious and bring fresh enthusiasm across the world to make an excellent employee in any media related business.
