Freelance Photographer

Above all, I hope to capture and communicate a story worth sharing.  I firmly believe that by exploring the way that other people experience the world, we can look deeper into our own lives and grow.  It is my aim as a photographer to showcase life in all of its diversity.  As an optimist, I celebrate similarities rather than differences.  In an ever polarized and hostile world, I hope that my work can illustrate the collective good that is inside us. As an environmentalist, I believe that wild places are an intrinsic necessity to the human condition. It is a great source of pride that I am able to share stories about the natural world so that others may be encouraged to experience it first hand and discover the value that it holds for them. Sometimes, I feel like I have never stopped playing an endless game of show and tell.

• Secured and completed various photo and video projects for non-profits, magazines, and various other organizations.
• Honed organizational and project-planning skills, time management and goal-tracking. 

• Gathered pickup material and products to be photographed in-studio, facilitated and organized on-location shoots as needed. Organized photos and other production materials into one network-accessible space.
• Shot restaurants, bakeries, products and interviews to be featured in Seattle Magazine’s print issue and online.
• Worked closely with the editorial team to ensure the photographic style matched Seattle Magazine’s brand.


Photo Intern

• Organized, shot, and edited photos, video, and mixed-media pieces for release on Sitka Conservation Society’s websites, social media, and for syndication.
• Documented the stories of native Sitkans and their relationship to the environment. Spent time in the wilderness areas of Southeast Alaska photographing for the “People and Place” program.
