Raft Guide

Highly motivated and organized individual. Over two years of customer service experience and highly knowledgeable in the extreme sport industry. Very good communication skills and the ability to introduce ideas of creativity. I have a unique eye for apparel and lifestyle companies.  My goal is to always contribute my skills to the fullest and learn as much as I can within the working field. Cascade Outdoors is a whitewater Rafting company on the Ocoee River located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. At cascade Outdoors, the raft guides have necessary training and experience before taking trips down the river. Every guide must complete rigorous on-water training and complete a state approved First Aid, CPR training coarse. In addition, every guide receives further instructions dealing with youth, international, and special needs rafters. White Water Rafting on the Ocoee River is known for class 1-5 rapids spread out in different sections of the River. Dealing with certain River flows on the river the guides must prepare each rafter with a safety speech and appropriate gear. Preparing the rafters can be challenging so having good communication skills is important. In the speech the guide teaches the rafter the following: How to stay in the raft, paddle strokes and commands, what to do if you fall out, the whitewater swim position, how to hit the deck, how to pull a swimmer into the boat. As a raft guide you are responsible for maintaining impressive communication skills and creating a unique and memorable experience for rafting guests.

Produce clerk responsibilities: stock and rotate fruits and vegetables in produce department, handle inventory and ensure items are ordered, help and educate customers, and help establish increased sales. Know how to properly open and close the department
Cashier responsibilities: check out customers, greet customers and maintain positive environment, count till at beginning and end of each shift, provide information regarding products, resolve customers' issues, maintain knowledge of store inventories and activities, ensure that work area is clean and organized
