Memorial Union Building Promotional Team Coordinator

Creative MBA candidate with a strong background in communications, outreach, and marketing. Innovative self-starter with extensive list of collegiate and community involvement. As Promo Team Coordinator, I am responsible for crafting the social media strategy for the University of New Hampshire Student Union. I am in charge of our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. I also manage a Promo Team made up of five undergraduates. Through this position, I gained experience with Hootsuite, Photoshop, InDesign, and iMovie.

The Green Alliance is an organization that brings together sustainable businesses and environmentally concerned consumers in the Seacoast area. As a Public Relations/Writing Intern, I gained experience in news feature writing and web content management. Through this position, I wrote a bi-weekly "Green Collar Careers" article that appeared in Foster's Daily Democrat and The New Hampshire, two local news publications. I occasionally helped staff events such as farmers markets and networking programs.

After my internship was completed, I stayed on as a Sustainability Evaluator. As an Evaluator, I  worked with several local businesses to assess their sustainability efforts. Through the evaluation, business leaders are able to identify ways in which their companies can become more environmentally friendly.

Public Relations/Writing Intern and Sustainability Evaluator

I acted as a resource for students interested in getting involved in student organizations, Greek life, or any other aspect of campus. I also created advertisements for Memorial Union Building (MUB) events using Photoshop and Microsoft Publisher. Outside of the office, I helped to plan and staff a variety of Office of Student Involvement and Leadership events, such as Commuter Lunches, Commuter Breakfasts, TEDxUNH talks, and more. I also had the opportunity to create a series of events called "comMUNITY Socials" that work to build community for our off-campus students.

Student Services Intern

As the Social Media and Photography Intern, I ran a weekly blog highlighting all of the different things happening in New Hampshire State Parks.  My posts were focused on the people behind the parks.  Every week, I went to a different area of New Hampshire and found a story to cover.  Some of my favorite posts were dogsledding up Mount Washington, following an artist for a day, and icefishing at a women's outdoor skills workshop.  My blog posts were picked up by several news outlets, including Eastern Mountain Sports.

Social Media and Photography Intern

During my summer at Cape Cod National Seashore, I gained experience both in conservation field work (i.e. tracking birds, finding nests, erecting exclosures) and in public outreach.  I staffed an information table on one of the busiest beaches on Cape Cod and talked to the public about shorebird conservation issues.  I also helped to plan and run children's programs.
