Freelance Photographer

I have been working part time as a freelance photographer for over 5 years. I know how to communicate with clients to best understand their needs for the shoot. I've shot, edited, and submitted photos under tight deadlines. I have worked for a newswire shooting sports which required live editing, captioning, and submission. My workflow has included photoshop, lightroom, and photo mechanic. 

Responsible for digital ad creation, social media content creation, digital asset management, and overall photography needs of Zeeto Media. Developed ads to be displayed on Facebook, Facebook Mobile, Google Display Network, and various other platforms. Filmed, edited, and posted viral videos on YouTube. Organized and led large-scale photo shoots for ad creation. Analyzed and developed creative strategies from real-time advertising analytics. Developed and implemented key-wording and cataloging system in Canto Cumulus Digital Asset Management System. 

Media Designer

Responsible for photographing Indians home games, events, front-office and team portraits, as well as corporate signage and merchandise. Assigned with organizing and key-wording all images on the Indians server using Extensis Portfolio. Digitized, catalogued, and corrected thousands of historical slides, negatives, and scans. Filmed and edited various videos as well as provided basic graphic design help on various projects. Provided creative media content for Indians website, blog, marketing materials, and social media. Took over in absence of team photographer for final months of the season including playoffs. Coordinated, organized, and served as contact for postseason still photographers. 

Photography Intern

Assigned with providing photographic material weekly for the newspaper. Also responsible for being an active participant in meetings to help improve the paper and come up with story ideas. Provided professional quality content on tight deadlines with accurate cutline information.

I graduated from CSU Chico in December of 2012 with a degree in Communication Design.

Student

Assisted the Houston Astros media relations department with all photography related aspects. Handled incoming photo requests and phone calls to the media relations department. Photographed all Astros home games and community events. Edited and Organized all photos from myself and team photographer on tight deadlines. Assisted with the development and implementation of the Houston Astros monthly magazine.

Media Relations/Photography Intern

Worked for Chico State’s award winning newspaper for three semesters as a photographer. Fulfilled weekly photography assignments under tight deadlines. Won multiple weekly awards for various photographs, placed 3rd in the California College Media Association photography contest, and was named Photojournalist of the Year by The Orion.

Younglife Adventures is a summer camp for highschool students in the Santa Cruz mountains offering extreme sports opportunities for campers. With YLA I was the team photographer/videographer. I compiled photographs/videos throughout and week and put together a DVD which was sold to campers. I maintained and organized all digital assets. I also assisted with Social Media aspects for YLA.
