Store Manager

I am searching for a career where I can use my creativity and leadership skills to provide a unique dynamic to a professional environment. My ultimate goal is to find a career in the fashion, technology, or entertainment industry.  I want to express my abilities and personality, and drive myself to be successful based on my professional goals.

I am currently working as the store manager of the Purdue Shop, a university team store owned by Lids.  As a store manager, I work with every-day store operations such as opening/closing, working the sales floor, and running the register. Managerial duties include: creating employee schedules, ordering supplies, receiving shipments, and staying in contact with the corporate office.   

I began working at Urban Swirl when it opened during the summer, and advanced my way up throughout the year to gain a supervisor position.  Urban Swirl is a frozen yogurt restaurant that required me to complete daily duties, such as food preparation, cashiering, and cleaning dishes and machines. I was trained in every non-managerial responsibility of the restaurant, allowing me to be available for any type of shift.  As a supervisor, I managed other employees to complete needed tasks, as well as motivated them to do a successful job.

Team Lead

My very first job was at Martin’s, where I was responsible for completing a variety of tasks. A few of the duties assigned to me where cleaning, stocking, bagging groceries, and bringing in shopping carts.  The company focused on customer service, which allowed me to practice interacting with the public in a professional environment.
