Internal training consultant experienced with evaluating business situations to identify gaps, determining which gaps can be closed using training, and developing and implementing training initiatives to improve bottom-line performance. Adept at leading teams and producing well-structured training materials to develop value and potential of human capital. Have honed my collaboration skills working with management teams to establish comprehensive and cost-effective professional development.

Lead the development team to create training materials for a global audience at all levels in the Hilti organizations. Responsible for needs analysis, working with steering teams, creating content, testing programs, and rolling out new programs to a global audience in multiple countries. Act as an internal consultant to management teams to identify gaps and define solutions. Select and hire permanent as well as contract developers. 

With my team, launched self-development programs for presentation skills, time management, project management, and business planning. Also developed technical sales training programs, expanded the sales management curriculum, and implemented a coaching curriculum for leaders. 

Responsible for global contracts for various tools such as DISC (psychometric evaluations), 180 evaluations, and leadership development.

Created a development team responsible for all new global training development programs. Implemented a consultancy approach resulting in a global talent development program for diverse talents around the world and an externally developed leadership program (in conjunction with IMD University in Lausanne, Switzerland). Increased curriculum for management team members and launched a global eLearning platform in 34 languages and nearly 100 countries.

Project Manager 3, Global Training and Learning Development

Developed and launched global sales management training program for all sales managers worldwide. Developed and launched global marketing training program consisting of 5 modules for all current and new marketing managers. Took interim responsibility for MCS programs and worked with Head of GTL to select a new MCS program manager.

With team leader, developed and launched key account sales training workshop and successfully integrated new  global associate project manager.

Global Junior Project Manager, MCS Competence

Global MCS Competence Associate Project Manager responsible for supporting new sales training development. Conducted ROI study on new sales fundamentals training and developed computer based training programs to support customer service and key account sales programs.

Associate Project Manager

Developed a college curriculum for Fire and Emergency Management degree plans while ensuring study guides for the International Fire Service Training Academy (IFSTA) were up to date and accurate. Successfully marketed the new curriculum to national universities, colleges, and community college programs. Managed contract editors, writers, proofreaders, and indexers. Also managed the printing and eLearning processes for relevant publications.

Project Coordinator

Started as a technical writer in 1996 and took over as department manager in 1997. Managed a team of technical communication professionals to ensure publication of timely and effective service, operations, installation, and marketing materials for marine power packages. Created process excellence that resulted in on-time delivery of installation and service materials to the 5,000+ dealers. Successfully implemented a content management system to allow more timely translations.
