I am currently a Corporate Communications intern at The Clorox Company; a company that owns Clorox, Brita, Burt’s Bess, Glad, Pine-Sol, and many other well-known brands. I am responsible for creating organized and cohesive communications between all companies represented within the company. I update and maintain SharePoint pages on the company’s intranet site. I also write, edit and publish content while also monitoring news and announcements on the company’s intranet and alert team members as appropriate. I upload, link and test digital edition of quarterly employee magazine. I help plan and execute large company meetings, including quarterly global town halls and worldwide leadership meetings. I also create graphics and videos using Photoshop and movie editing software. I also have worked on the marketing side at Riviera Partners where I created, developed, and executed marketing campaigns and strategies in order to grow the company's national presence and brand. I created mass email marketing material for distinct audiences to promote company events that I planed and executed. I also created content, develop graphic material for web pages, designed logos and other graphics, and updated marketing materials. I do these tasks by utilizing Photoshop and Illustrator, which play a large factor in the company blog that I ran. I also am a collegiate Student-Athlete (Women’s Water Polo) at the University of California, Berkeley. I have adapted to different workspace cultures in the University of Berkeley and I am confident that my employment opportunities and athletics have prepared me for this position. Being a collegiate Student-Athlete at the number one public university in the world not only forced me become a quick learner but also made me acquire skills to be an independent self-starter, as well as a team player. My major in Communications and minor in International Studies have prepared me for a career in marketing and event planning while also teaching me to be an approachable and understanding employee. Being employed while also competing in athletics and being a full time student has taught me how to manage multiple projects simultaneously. My excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong work ethic help me excel in this environment.
