Summary

Goal - To work for a company inline with my passions. I'm chomping at the bit to invest all of my time into something I can believe in and be proud of. A little about me - I’m fortunate to have grown up in Half Moon Bay, CA, during a time when Mavericks wasn’t the circus that it is today (apologies for sounding like a bitter local. Gone are they days of watching Mavericks break with about 20 or so people!). I grew up skating and surfing, playing drums in a punk rock band called Nothing In Return, a wanna be Bad Religion/AFI (early days)/NOFX gutter group that butchered the pronociation of words coined by Noam Chomsky. I started college at 14, while working part time, and received my High School Diploma at 15, and transferred to SF State to finish by degree at 17. I had developed a promising academic career, but dropped out to persue my real passion; music. I started a recording studio in San Francisico by 18, spending my entire savings in the process. Two years later, I was hired to engineer for a multi-million dollar recording studio in Southern California. I ended up working with the full spectrum of artists. Some I use to watch on Mtv as a kid, others who are absolutely amazing, talented, hard working artists the world will probably not have the pleasure of hearing. It was a fantastic experience, one that I would never trade for anything in the world. When the studio closed, I made the decision to finish my degree. While a part time student, I started as a filing clerk at the law firm I work at currently. I worked hard, and it didn’t take long for the firm to notice. I was promoted to a litigation support position and the firm paid for my training in database management. Not shortely after, a marketing position opened up, and I jumped on the oppurunity to learn something new, as well as fill a creative role lacking in the firm. Years later, I finished my degree, learned a ton while working at the firm (what I call boot camp), and now I’m looking to sink my teeth into something more inlign with my passions. I’ve lived in San Clemente for over a decade and never plan on leaving; it’s my new home. I’m 29, happily married for just about 4 years, with two dogs who love the ocean more than I do. Thank you for reviewing my resume. I hope what’s included here isn’t too much. I just thought that this will paint a clearer picture of who I am, where I’m at, and whether or not I’d be a fit at your company. Hope to hear from you, Jordan
