Undergraduate Research Assistant

I am a Senior at UC Berkeley, pursuing a B.A. in Integrative Biology. I had been planning on pursuing a career in medicine, however in my 4 years in college I have also developed a deep passion in photography and creative design. During these four years, I have gained experience in many aspects of photography such as studio photography, event photography, portraits, abstract photography, and photo editing. By teaching myself how to use Adobe softwares to edit pictures, I quickly picked up Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign skills as well. Aside from photography, I am very interested in medical research. Currently, at UCSF, I aid in coordination of research participants and analysis for a lab focused in finding genetic causes of autism, epilepsy, and Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum.

Assist in coordination of hundreds of research participants in sample collection, neuropsychological survey interviews, consenting, and other various tasks. I mainly perform administrative support and maintenance of the study protocol for the Brain Development Research Program, as well as assisting in participant outreach, recruitment, and retention, data and specimen collection, and overall coordination of research activities and participant visits.

Started an Intro to Digital Photography course for UC Berkeley students who are interested in learning how to use their DSLR. I acted as an instructor - leading every class, assigning homework/tasks, grading, etc.

VP of Photo Education

Assisted HR with administrative duties such as payroll data collection, organization of personnel files, and set up of astronomy meetings.

HR Assistant

I led a group of photographers who are tasked with incoming event requests by various organizations around campus. I corresponded with the POC of each club, managed the photographers who are assigned to the event, and checked each photo to ensure quality. Also led a meeting every week where photographers are asked to complete a shoot based on themes of that week, including headshots, double exposure, Halloween-themed, landscape.
