Sales Manager

I have over 12 years of experience working in the outdoor retail industry.  Throughout my career I have gained priceless knowledge and skill sets from working in both retail and shop settings.  With a strong work ethic and passion for being busy, I am a perfect fit for any establishment.  I currently am a sales manager/lead bike mechanic at Down Wind Sports in Marquette, MI.  Not only do I turn wrenches and tune skis, but I take care of the customer’s everyday needs, handle all warranty claims, organize employees, and order/stock the retail establishment.  
I have built strong relationships with customers and the brands that I have worked with.  I regularly help organize and plan special events with Down Wind Sports, including: The Michigan Ice Festival, The Great Lakes Sea Kayak Symposium, and Ladies of the Lake Sea Kayak Symposium.  From my experience, I have excellent organizational, managerial, and communication skills.  I also possess a strong background in Microsoft Office and social media.  
My goal is to continue to follow my passion of a career in the outdoor industry.  My knowledge is growing daily and I am always ready to take the next step.  I hope to not only continue to grow in the world of outdoor sports, but to help the industry as a whole grow and flourish.  


I conduct day to day sales as well as coordinate the staff to create a successful store front.  I am a skilled bike mechanic, complete ordering and buying duties, and run the floor of the establishment.  Down Wind Sports is a family owned high end gear shop focusing on many sports including - Downhill and XC skiing, mountain and road biking, rock and ice climbing, backpacking, snowshoeing, running, and more.  We are the gear experts and the people who use and believe in what we sell.

I was the assistant manger of our local ski hill ski shop.  I helped with hill duties and organization as well as sold tickets, organized employees, sold ski equipment, tuned and serviced ski equipment, and whatever else was needed for the hill.  Seasonal employment.

I worked as a tour guide travelling through the USA and Canada.  I led tour groups of up to thirteen people on one to two week excursions.  We focused on National Parks, major cities, historical landmarks, and adventures of all kinds.  I had the role of driver, planner, organizer, cook, maid, tent pole fixer, you name it we did it as guides.  It was an amazing role that focused on leadership skills and adaptability to any and all situations.  Some of the passengers spoke English and many did not so communication skills of all kinds were imperative.  Amazing Job!
