Equipment and Logistics Director

I currently hold a professional sales position with Helzberg Diamonds.  This position has been an excellent training grounds for starting my sales career, but I belong in the outdoor industry.  If I can consistently hit and exceed my goals selling merchandise that I have no vested interest, I know that I can truly thrive selling products I know and love.  
I aspire to represent brands that make quality outdoor equipment.  I want to spend my workdays boasting features and benefits of products that I use on my adventures to fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

Responsible for all things involving equipment, logistics, and guide interfacing at the Mountain Madness office.

Lead Snowboard Instructor

Sales representative in the Outdoor Industry.  The agency that I worked for covered a 9 state territory in the Upper Midwest (North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Upper Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois).  We represented clothing, footwear, eye-wear, backpacks, and nutrition based brands.  The brands that I covered were Marmot, Julbo, Mystery Ranch, Meridian Line, Nikwax, Skratch Labs, and Altra.

Sales Representative

Responsible for selling directly to customers, forging long-term relationships for future business, calling clients for special occasions and upcoming events, inspecting merchandise, ensuring visual merchandising is up to company standards and appealing to consumers, instructing proper care and cleaning techniques, recruiting new talent, scheduling and conducting interviews, and providing performance reviews.

Assistant Manager

Responsible for teaching safe climbing techniques, setting up a safe climbing environment, and being knowledgeable of the area, the sport, and the equipment.  Frequently promoting AIC to help grow the business and bolster personal guiding opportunities.

Rock Climbing Guide

At Mt. La Crosse, Ski School Instructors routinely introduce people to the joys of skiing and snowboarding.  Most private clients are children getting on the slopes for the first time, however, adult lessons are not unusual.  Likewise, lessons are not just limited to beginners and can be given to intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders.  

In addition to taking on private lessons, instructors are also in charge monitoring and assessing the skill levels of kids, ranging from 6th grade to seniors in high school, on school trips.  

Mt. La Crosse also is partnered with University of Wisconsin La Crosse and Winona State University for weekly night skiing and snowboarding for credit.  Students for these courses are put in groups based on skill level.  Each group receives two instructors to work with the group for the duration of the class (half of a semester).

  -->Started off as a server and was promoted to Lead Server/Assistant Manager based on merit

The Lookout Cabin is a ski in, ski out restaurant perched at over 8,000 feet at the Canyons Ski Resort.  The restaurant is extremely popular and receives a steady flow of business.  Not only did this job enable me to make a decent living while residing in Park City, but it also furnished me with a season pass for the resort.  This made for an excellent, powder-filled winter.

The McKinley Chalet is another seasonal gem that I stumbled upon in my travels.  The resort is located just north of the entrance to Denali National Park.  The Nenana View Grill is consistently full of tourists during the summer months.  Employees at the McKinley Chalet are entrusted as ambassadors for the park, and all tourist activities in the surrounding area.  This position is about more than simply knowing a menu, it is about knowing an entire area and being a wealth of knowledge for visitors.
