Shoshannah Walton

I am a Designer with experience in Apparel and Footwear design. My strengths include the ability to spot new trends easily, strong capabilities with the Adobe Creative Suite and have the capacity to create creative and commercial prints. My biggest career achievement was having my first textile print blogged about on the international trend website WGSN and subsequently liked and shared by hundreds of people. For the last 2 years I worked as a Designer for Pacific Brands for Volley, Mossimo and Dunlop KT26 footwear. I designed a range of 100 shoes per season; from trend research I created the colour palate, all over prints and chose the themes for the season. I managed the proto samples stage and approved styles for production with overseas suppliers while creating catalogues and coordinating photography. Prior to this, I worked as a Brand Coordinator for Ecosoulife, designing outdoor adventure apparel for retailers throughout Australia. I created detailed garment specs, followed the production schedule from first sample to bulk delivery, ensuring high standards of fit and quality. I have also worked as a Design Assistant at Sacha Drake and as a Design room assistant for Caroline Church, both high end womenswear labels where I graded and altered patterns. My experience in design for Apparel and Footwear brands has taught me to be creative with a commercial sensibility and highly organised in fast paced work environments
