Apparel & Gear Product Line Manager

/ Contribute to developing and implementing a channel specific product strategy for the Snowsports (ski & snowboard) division by establishing a global understanding of the market, competitive landscape, and Salomon brand values.

/ Manage the process by collaborating with R&D, Design and Development teams to create assortment based product range that is market ready.

/ Support the Go to Market process with presentations to key audiences (both internal and external).

/ Identify category growth opportunities and new product requirements.

/ Provide creative briefs to design and development that effectively communicate the seasonal product needs, perceived values, establish color direction, identify aesthetic strategies and strategic segmentation.

/ Create assortment-based yearly product lineplans that achieve the category objectives for sales, gross, margin, supply chain, KPI’s and brand image.

/ Create successful product launches by developing: sell-in tools, in-store merchandising tools, sell out tools and training programs for global sales force.

/ Provide input on marketing concepts, catalog layouts, and brand messaging to ensure marketing resonates with target market.

/ Maintain internal Product Development Management tools providing accurate information to Marketing, Development, Sourcing and Capacity Planning. 

/ Critically assess protos with Development in fit sessions to assure product excellence.

/ Present product ranges at internal meetings, trade shows, and key account meetings.

/ Quantitative and qualitative marketing studies

/ Establishing a business plan for a new junior range

/ Establishment and management of Fall Winter 2011 headwear 

/ Preparation of design and technical brief

/ Products and marketing strategy presentation to subsidiaries 3 times a year
