Promoted and given responsibility to provide Level 1 / 2 support to 500+ users throughout 4 locations. Research, evaluate, recommend, and assist in implementing new technologies and services to improve productivity, increase accessibility to data, and support business growth. Set-up, configure, and administer desktops, laptops, peripherals, VPN, VoIP, mobile devices, network equipment, and offsite VMware servers, including backup / recovery, anti-virus, and security. Analyze and troubleshoot system access, hardware, application, software, and network communications issues.  

Recognized for achieving the highest tenure within the IT Department for the company based upon strong technical, customer service, training, and problem solving skills. 

Built the Lab environment for the User Conference to showcase company’s products, comprised of 20 networked desktops, laptops, and peripherals.

Held critical role in migrating messaging platform from Lotus Notes to MS Exchange. 

Configured desktops, migrated data and files, and trained users on new system.

Replaced Vista desktop computing environments with Windows 7, and rolled out Microsoft Direct Access that increased users’ satisfaction by enabling the automatic access of network files and the sharing of data.

Recommended and assisted in implementing Uniflow server that optimized the administration of 40+ printers.

Planned and built the desktop computing and VPN infrastructure for new office in Arlington, Virginia to ensure optimal integration with co-location site in Philadelphia.

Recommended, gained approval from management, and held critical role in expanding the Tier 1 Support Organization to 3 resources. Trained, mentored, and guided team of 3 in administering, optimizing, and supporting desktops, handheld devices, peripherals, and services as user base expanded.

Requested and given additional responsibility to manager user accounts that reduced timeframe to set up new users from 2 weeks to 4 days, and to reset passwords for 3 business days to instantly.

Influenced and contributed to migrating desktops from Windows XP to Vista and the upgrade of Lotus Notes to latest release that improved productivity and enabled business users to communicate with clients in real-time.

Core member of team that built the network infrastructure for the Network Operation Center (NOC) within 3 days to support rescue efforts following Hurricane Katrina.

Chosen to assess and identify potential physical vulnerabilities with multiple bases in the Middle East. Selected as a member of the National Military Command Center to monitor and report on missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Transitioned users from Windows XP to Vista desktop computing environments and implemented biometric systems to strengthen security for over 500 users.
