Board of Directors, Secretary

Seeking a position as a graphic designer who specializes in UX/UI, branding and identity development, marketing design (print & digital) and photography.

• I currently research successful economic development programs in Uganda and coordinate 
  with the CEO and the Ugandan partnership’s director to establish new programs that 
  sustainably empower underprivileged women and children in Uganda.

• Based upon a needs assessment I created, I worked on a team to establish a new student 
  scholarship program that now benefits 60+ children in Uganda.

• I helped create an online reoccurring donor system for the student scholarship program that 
  has now covered about 1/3 of all the student-beneficiary tuitions.

• I created and now update a board procedures manual for board best practices. • I maintain 
  and organize board minutes and documents.

• In January I was promoted as the new Vice President.

• I worked with a start-up team of four developers and one product manager to produce a 
  search directory focused on highlighting social trending data for local businesses.

• My job was to create wireframes, user flows, high fidelity mockups, and specs for 
  development sprint cycles. I also incorporated feedback from user research and user testing 
  into the design process.

UX & UI Designer

• I worked directly with the CEO and clients to execute various print and web projects  (booklets, promotional cards, tradeshow booth displays and website design).

Visual Designer (Print & Web)

• I worked with an interactive design team to help digitally re-brand the following companies through visual design: Charming Charlie, Physician’s Formula, Dasani (Drops), Fuze Iced Tea and Gold Peak Beverages.

• I created web banners for these brands which were featured on the following sites and apps: Spotify, Pandora, Yahoo!, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, and The Nest.

• While at Lambesis, I was exposed to concepting, branding, and marketing for luxury and fashion brands. I was constantly submersed in concepting and marketing pitches for brands such as Bebe and Genetic Denim, who are now clients of Lambesis.

Interactive Designer

• As a co-founder of Because of Hope, I created many of the systems and templates that are now used to meet social media and marketing needs including: Because of Hope’s (BOH’s) logo, website, booth display, posters, photography, promotional collateral, press kits, and social media content.

• I trained interns in Adobe Photoshop and branding skills.

• I helped develop and execute marketing campaigns in order to increase donations and brand
awareness. I also contributed to developing, shaping, and managing BOH’s current volunteer program.

Creative Director

• I designed, photographed, and wrote for Invisible Children’s blog (284,000 followers) and Facebook(3.4 million likes), updated daily. I edited copy written in “Ugandan English” and changed to “American English” style for all blog posts.

• I designed and photographed for Invisible Children Uganda’s quarterly reports and annual reports.  The annual report was distributed to over 500 organizations throughout Uganda. While doing this, I created a standardized style for both quarterly and annual reports, to be used by future interns.

• I trained Ugandan PR Assistant in Adobe Photoshop, in order to eliminate the need for the company to hire an additional employee.
