I am a recent graduate of Florida State University with a major in Retail Merchandising and Product Development. I completed multiple classes pertaining strictly to retail merchandising/buying but also marketing, accounting and economics. Following graduation, I moved out to Los Angeles to complete a wholesale buying internship at BCBGMAXAZRIA. During the internship I was able to work very closely with multiple buying teams, merchandising, and the visual team, which in turn expanded my knowledge of excel and understanding of the buying processes. Following the internship, I began my career with BCBG as a Retail Buying Coordinator. While in this position I have learned the necessary processes and skill-set to further my career in the buying industry. My past store management internship at Kohl's gave me the opportunity to learn about the internal structure of a retail storefront as well as being able to develop my leadership skillset. I, also, have past retail experience working seasonally at Nordstrom’s, where I learned the importance of customer service and being self-sufficient. Due to my past internship with Star Magazine, I have experience working with style editors and writing online style blogs for Radar Online. I was involved in two leading retail organizations on campus, one for which I also blogged for. My past accomplishments include completing a semester abroad in London, receiving a scholarship from the Florida Retail Federation, and remaining on the Dean’s list throughout my entire college career. Not only am I devoted to retail, but also I am passionate about being a leader and finding the perfect place for me in the retail community.
