Account Executive

Responsible for the day-to-day management of client relationships, providing support and ensuring deadlines are met. This includes traffic management of campaign collateral from initial client brief right through to execution and delivery.

Selected from a pool of graduates for the CAANZ Graduate Intern Programme which includes partaking in the Advertising and Media Foundation Course.

Graduate Intern Programme

Interpreting clients’ briefs and responding to them by developing advertisements for the paper. This involved clearly communicating with the client and my editor, and meeting publishing deadlines. I was also responsible for photo-documenting many events around the community. The photos were then used in the paper along with articles by a journalist. A position where I was often in sole charge of the office, I was responsible for tasks such as handling outgoing and incoming calls, communicating with clients, filing, banking and typing. The work required me to be highly organised and utilised my communication skills, problem-solving ability, and my tenacity to work long hours completing tasks efficiently.

Office Assistant/Junior Designer

Position involved developing an effective marketing and communications strategy for MoveMe Dunedin, a Dunedin City Council initiative aiming to increase the physical activity levels of Dunedin residents. It was a group project which required us to develop a proposed promotional plan. It helped me develop my confidence and communication skills by listening carefully and liaising with the client in order to respond to their business problem in the best possible manner.
