I am a recent graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Fiber Arts. A free spirit from day one, I have spent most of my life outdoors and around the water, which has greatly influenced my artwork. Through my training at SCAD I have learned to explore a variety of techniques, which emphasize my personal fascination with the way everything in life fits and flows together. I have three years professional design experience through internships at Loloi Rugs, Cynthia Vincent, Glamhouse, and Island Xpertees. These internships gave me hands-on experience in the design and construction of various materials, and taught me a great deal about the business side of textiles and the fashion industry. At Cynthia Vincent I oversaw the swatch libraries, often hand-dyeing sample fabrics and choosing trims and embellishments for upcoming collections. I also worked on several pattern designs, making corrections and choosing color ways which presented the best possible product for our customers. This past summer, I had the opportunity to work for Loloi Rugs where I designed and helped produce rugs and pillow collections for the upcoming year, including a line of Christmas pillows which will be available at Pier 1 Winter 2016.
