I am a recent M. A. graduate in Economics from the University of Connecticut and a competitive trail and ultramarathon runner with more than five years of retail management experience in the outdoor recreation industry. My goal is to make the transition from retail management to a corporate environment where I can utilize my strong analytic skills to support a brand that resonates with consumers. I believe that a company of passionate employees who promote a “work hard, play harder” culture would benefit from my particular mix of talents and interests, especially in a role as a planner or buyer. The economics training equips me with excellent quantitative skills and a methodology of thought oriented toward cost/benefit analysis. My retail experience provides me with a broad understanding of trends in sports apparel and gear. No less significant is my commitment to outdoor athletics which enables me to view a career in this industry as a vocation, not an interchangeable corporate job.
