Hello,

My name is Jalisa Watston and I'm currently in Event Marketing & Production. I have had the pleasure of assisting with events for brands such as Nike, Columbia, and Red Bull.

I have a passion for everything & anything creative. I thrive on a fast-paced environment which keeps me on my feet. I enjoy networking and meeting new people, learning new things, & seeking new opportunities.

For 2015 I'm living by the motto: "Stop Wishing. Start Doing."

Top Accomplishments include:

•	Being a chosen intern to participate in the brand management of Black Mask Rum. From the initial client meeting to creating a social media/ influencer strategy, I got to actively participate in the growth of the brand. Curated an Influencer Program site, where influencers were invited to our warehouse to pick up a Black Mask Rum influencer kit. Influencers were to take a picture with the kit and post it on Instagram and Twitter with the brand related hashtag. Through a solid social media strategy and influencer marketing I was a part in helping achieve over 50,000+ impressions within a 3-month timeframe.

•	I worked my way up to have the chance at co-managing an event hosted by ‘Group Y.’ I managed my own budget of $45K, sourced all necessary materials, hired and trained event brand ambassadors, worked with vendors through the planning process, constantly interacted with client contacts. The client was exceptionally pleased with how everything turned out.


I also have background in: Communications, Marketing, Office Administration, Social Media Marketing, On-Air Hosting, & Event Planning.

Volunteer in the city of Pasadena helping out the hungry and homeless. 

**Currently working on the set of, 'The Voice**

•Currently Working with the companies: NBC Universal, MTV Networks, and ABC
• Engaging with fans, executing logistics plans, and coordinating with production teams in order to create the best experiences in television
• Ensure full attendance from the audiences and ensure their satisfaction in terms of arrangements and facilities
• Responsibilities include researching and booking audiences, coordinating daily audience logistics of advance ticket distribution, audience traffic in/out of the building, in/out of the set, and seating arrangements, as well as outreach to viewers and community group

Freelance Audience Coordinator

Currently a freelance Production Assistant on the set of 'The Voice for the Talent & Reality Sectors.'

• Crowd control – managing extras in a scene, or locking down the set to make sure no pedestrians unwittingly amble into the frame, ruining the shot.
• Attending production meetings;
• Organizing travel arrangements for cast, crew and production executives;
• Typing and distributing schedules, or call sheets
• Assisting cast members, and at times running errands for them;
• Dealing with accounts and expenses;
• Closing accounts with suppliers and dealing with surplus stock when the production is finished.

Freelance Production Assistant - Talent/ Reality

• Planned, coordinated and executed events – Oversaw the planning and execution of logistics and operations for the following brands: Group Y, and Mikes Hard Lemonade. 
• Work closely with Director of Production to ensure all deadlines are being met  (Status reports, Updating SOW as needed, managing budgets, misc. internal processes, etc.)
• Cultivated excellent long-term relationships with clients, maintaining ongoing communication and facilitating solutions to address concerns.
• Trained and supervised brand ambassadors for various events. Created and coordinated schedules to ensure smooth event operations.
• Work closely with Accounting Department to ensure all estimates are accurate and profitable.
• Book Travel/ Accommodations for the team and myself

• Actively participate in brainstorming sessions

Marketing Coordinator

•	Specifically worked on different event marketing initiates for the following brands: Nike, Columbia Sportswear, and Red Bull.
•	Co-Managed working on budgets with a  $50,000-100,000 spending limit.
•	Actively collaborated with Business Development and the Creative Director on ideas for client branding initiatives, per client requests & requirements.
•	Developed and created location, concept & wrap up decks for clients.
•	Coordinated with creative team to produce renderings and dimensions for art displays.
•	Directed internal production support between warehouse, production, & creative teams.

Production Intern

•	Assisted with the Brand Management initiative of: Black Mask Rum.

Production Intern: Black Mask Rum Influencer Program

Created awareness for The Wing Girls by updating social media outlets and establishing a wider fan base. Helped achieve a 75% growth in traffic, and popularity to the brand.  Generated new ideas which focused on brand promotion, and staff effectiveness. Served as a communication facilitator between the various elements involved in the set production and set up. Superb communication skills were vital to this position to reduce confusion among associates and kept everybody on the same page.

Ensured all necessary materials were present prior to filming material. Was able to edit footage which strengthened my skills in Final Cut Pro and various editing software. Light administrative tasks were also assigned.

Social Media & Production Intern

As an assistant, I did whatever I was told, and did whatever needed to be done — without being told. I was the 2nd lead in charge at all events. Assisted with event logistics, organization, and itinerary. The ability to work under pressure and efficient planning was vital to this position. Attention to detail and the ability to be precise was MANDATORY. Understanding client wants and needs was highly important, to properly execute the assigned tasks.

Event Coordinator Assistant

OC News is a television news program produced entirely by the broadcast journalism students in the Department of Communications at California State University, Fullerton. OC News is produced and aired weekly during the fall and spring semesters. It gives Communications students focusing on broadcast journalism a chance to practice the skills learned in the classroom in a real newsroom experience. Students anchor, produce, report, write, edit and shoot everything in the show

Morning Anchor & News Reporter

Coordinated office management and special projects with a high level of efficiency and confidentially. Extensively utilized computers with the latest technology to organize and manage a database of over 1,000+ students. Played a vital role in seminars and the production of event planning. Demonstrated a high level of understanding and adaptation with varying assignments. Moderate administrative duties were also required.

The ability to set priorities, manage details and accurately follow through on all deadlines always put me ahead of the game.
