I currently work as a Petrochemical and Power Applications Engineer in the Rotation Engineering Program at Greene, Tweed & Co in Houston, TX. In the program I have gained meaningful experience rotating through the functional engineering departments of the company including: process, quality sustaining and testing. In these departments I performed the duties of an engineer in each area while still maintaining the vision of the program, to become a well-rounded engineer. 

I majored in Materials Science Engineering at The University of California, Irvine and  my senior design project involved biomedical materials. 

Specialties: Engineering Design, CAD, Solidworks, Excel macros, Material Testing, Materials Failure Analyis, Unix, Microsoft Office, customer facing relations, public speaking, group collaboration and strong interpersonal skills.

? Designed composite parts while working with customers, salespersons, machinists and an international engineering team.
? Led a team to automate designs in applications engineering using SolidWorks and Excel, reducing engineering time by 60%.
? Audited departments and developed a training plan for technicians and machinists as a certified ISO 9001:2008 Internal Auditor and a member of the internal audit team.
? Designed custom machined sealing solutions using advanced engineering thermoplastics (PEEK, PTFE, PFA and Carbon Fiber) with SolidWorks and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
? Conducted and prepared failure analysis reports for customers on failed polymers, elastomers and composites.
? Rotated through functional engineering departments, including process, quality, sustaining and testing. Developed a broad understanding of the various engineering positions, and learned cross functional skills specific to each department.

? Worked to create a phantom material that mimics the optical properties of the human cornea for calibration and performance verification of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) imaging systems.

Senior Design Project Team Leader

• Designed entire water cooled electrical load system ($200k) in Solidworks.
• Met with customer (large aerospace company) and refined design based upon their requirements.
• Worked collaboratively with president, engineers and customer, took design from concept through drawings, customer review, manufacturing and installation ahead of schedule.

Engineering Design Intern

• Helped develop microfluidic devices
• Used Chemical Vapor Deposition System to manufacture Carbon nanotubes
• Detailed tasks such as optimizing time for bonding slicone to silicon wafers

Research Assistant

• Provided a communication link between the campus and community with UCIPD
• Worked in a solo capacity closing libraries, patrolling the campus and giving information to the public
• Also worked in a team environment and was involved in training exercises with the Irvne PD

Community Service Officer

• Worked in a Class 100 clean room on the manufacturing line producing hard disks
• Certified in the packing operation and worked on a time schedule for shipment to Asia
• Ran other operations such as an automated batching tool and a cleaning operation
