Managed Nickelodeon’s diverse employee populations up to and including Viacom staff employees, Nickelodeon Animation Studio employees (union and non-union), Cast & Crew project based employees, freelance employees, and interns. Continued coordination of employee on and off-boarding efforts for 500+ studio employees. Worked with Viacom’s Business and Legal Affairs team to ensure various policy compliance efforts. Regularly provided guidance to productions regarding union policy and procedure, process inquiries, and employee relations issues. Assisted with benefits inquiries as needed. Mentored and trained HR interns. Managed and administered the studio’s internship program in the absence of the Sr. Recruiting Manager. Full cycle responsibilities included: Planning, recruitment, orientation, on-boarding, timecard submission, payroll approvals, scheduling, event coordination, and studio communications. Worked with digital ops team to create an internal internship database.

Manager, Human Resources

Provided HR Generalist support and guidance for both the Nickelodeon Animation Studio and the Nickelodeon Games Group. Coordinated the implementation of special HR projects and initiatives. Helped facilitate weekly new hire orientation and the processing of personnel action forms. Responded to employee inquiries regarding The SPOT payroll system. Regularly interfaced with line producers, production managers, and studio employees. Delivered timely resolution on various employee and departmental issues. Collaborated with fellow HR colleagues to ensure a successful transition for the Company and affected employees in conjunction with the sale of two gaming properties. Assisted with the re-organization, re-branding, and kick-off of “Nick University”. Human Resources Coordinator

First point of contact for all employee related inquiries. Assumed full payroll cycle responsibilities for 250 - 400 domestic employees in multiple states. Funded 401k and HSA contributions biweekly. Facilitated new-hire orientation meetings and on-boarding processes. Assisted with candidate screenings and interviewing as needed. Acted as lead for payroll and health insurance benefits. Collaborated closely with insurance broker during annual renewals, and communicated benefits information throughout the organization. Recorded benefits billing, verified cost-center allocations, and submitted payment requests for multiple carriers each month. Organized the company’s 1st Annual Health Fair to promote health and wellness. Utilized auditor feedback to develop a Payroll Review Checklist to ensure consistent approval process. Assisted with HR policy updates and supported  the creation and revision of formal HR company documents. Refined on and off-boarding procedures.

Ensured accurate, bi-weekly payroll and annual W-2 processing for up to 500 hourly, seasonal, and J-1 Visa employees. Processed gratuities, sales commissions, piece rate incentives, and garnishments. Audited wage rate changes and paid time off. Distributed time reports to department heads and adjusted entries to guarantee correct labor and wage reporting. Interfaced regularly with HR, accounting personnel, and hotel management.


Payroll Specialist

Partnered in overseeing all AP functions for Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO). Audited invoices, travel and expenditure reports, and check requisitions. Provided customer service by ensuring timeliness of follow up and response to inquiries. Assisted with reconciliations and month-end closing by resolving payment discrepancies and adjusting entries. Utilized SAP software to enter and review general ledger (GL) account information.

Accounts Payable Specialist

Processed all non-exempt employee payroll and reviewed management timekeeping reports. Completed off-cycle check requests for HR. Maintained accurate employee records (union and non-union) including vacation, sick time, PTO accruals, and FMLA requests. Assisted accounts receivable Credit Manager with special projects as needed. Efficiently performed bank reconciliations, entered weekly product inventory postings, and aided in completing sales department invoicing requests. Processed, verified, and balanced payments received by cashiers’ office. Cross-trained in various administrative and accounting functions, including payroll, managing cashier window, and reconciling driver payment drops.
