Attorney and founder of the nation's largest civilian firearm training firm with over 53 locations in 17 states. Professional hunting guide with 10 years of professional experience in the hunting and firearm industry.

Practicing primarily in the areas of contract, corporate compliance, National Firearm Act compliance, proposal preparation, subcontract compliance and estate planning law. Representing clients in a wide variety of legal issues including private equity lending, real estate development projects, complex estate planning matters, criminal and civil litigation, as well as lead negotiating several high value contracts. Certified and served as an expert witness for firearm related litigation. Retained by Iowa State University College of Law to teach Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars. Researched, authored and edited a best selling 50 state firearm law guidebook, with over 100,000 copies sold. Current member of the Utah Bar Association and U.S. District Court for the District of Utah Bar. Certified member of the National Contract Management Association.

Founder and former co-owner of a nationwide firearm training company, which was grown from a start-up to one of the largest training companies of its kind in the United States. Managed and oversaw all aspects of the business administration, including legal compliance for over 20 state certified curriculums, strategic plan development, legislative tracking and lobbying, private and public sector proposal submission, analysis of new markets and growth opportunities, financial oversight, budgeting, negotiation of agreements, contract administration, media interaction and employee supervision and training. The company would contract to provide it's training with large national retailers such as Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops, Scheels, Sportsman's Warehouse, Gander Mountain, etc. 

Authored and published a best selling 50 state guide to firearm laws that has sold over 100,000 copies in digital and print formats. 

In August of 2014 all of the assets of Nelsen Enterprises, LLC were acquired by an investment group based in Ohio as part of a multi-million dollar asset purchase transaction. Having my company purchased has freed up substantially more time for me to pursue other career opportunities that interest me.

Guided over 100 successful elk, deer, bear, moose and buffalo hunts in Utah, Idaho and Mexico. This experience has not only made me extremely familiar with the outdoor industry, but has given me the opportunity to thoroughly test hundreds of different outdoor products.
