I'm a filmmaker who strives to create impactful imagery backed by compelling storytelling. I have recently worked in Mexico, Argentina, Africa- Gorongosa National Park, Canada, and the Caribbean as a producer and cinematographer for National Geographic, PBS, Environmental Defense Fund, Explore.org and the National Science Foundation. I am also the co-founder of DRYFT Digital, which specializes in both traditional film production and 360 3D liveaction, science/nature films for Oculus Rift and other immersive displays. At DRYFT, Erik and co-founder Refah are working to create virtual reality programming that Immerses viewers in the world's most spectacular wild places and wildlife narratives while enabling those without the resources or physical abilities to bring the wilderness home. In doing so, they hope to attract a new audience to the natural history genre while sparking further interest in firsthand exploration and stewardship of the natural world. On his off time, he is likely kiteboarding, surfing, or kayaking somewhere in California.
