Lead and guide youth in numerous outdoor pursuits.  these have included hiking the west coast (5 1/2 times) and the juan de fuca trails (twice) in british columbia and paddling 900+ mile wilderness canoe trips in manitoba and ontario. some of my most memorable experiences have included hiking the trail from landmannalaugar to thorsmork in iceland with my wife and the kandersteg-allmenalp via ferrata in switzerland.

INA International Ltd. is the product development, direct sourcing and wholesale subsidiary of FGL Sports, Canada's largest national retailer of sporting goods. FGL was acquired by the Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited in 2011, a family of businesses that includes Mark's.

AVP-Global Sourcing (Sep. 2013 – Nov.,2014)
Held progressive roles within INA culminating in that of AVP - Global Sourcing where I spearheaded the creation of the business unit responsible for sourcing, production, quality assurance, technical product development and social compliance, and led its activities in support of CTCs family of banners.  Directly responsible for contributing to increasing wholesale sales from $12M to over $160M.

AVP-Business Development (Aug. 2012 – Sep. 2013)
Researched, identified and conceptualized new product development and business growth opportunities for CTC and Mark’s.  Categories included hunting, snowmobile, swim and outerwear resulting in a new revenue stream for INA of $4.5M.


Associate Vice President - Global Sourcing

Specializing in the fabrication of fabric structures, protective covers and canopies Manta acquired Kelly Sportswear Manufacturing Ltd. in 1998, a Vancouver based sportswear company.  With financial backing from Manitoba’s Crocus Investment Fund, Manta acquired additional sportswear manufacturing facilities in Calgary and Winnipeg, and constructed a state of the art textile mill specializing in knitting, dyeing and finishing of polyester fleece fabrics resulting in one of Canada’s only vertically integrated sportswear manufacturers.

Founded in 1971, Gemini Fashions designed and produced clothing for outdoor activities. Its products were marketed and distributed across Canada and the USA under a variety of brand names, including Mobius, Tsunami, Northern Sun and OshKosh B’Gosh,. The company employed 100 staff at its headquarters in Winnipeg and more than 1200 staff at its production facility in Bangalore, India, producing more than 1.25M garments and $45M in revenue annually.
