Novel Fashion Designer. Experienced Visual Merchandiser. Technically Trained Patternmaker.

As a young designer, you can usually find me sketching my latest inspiration, exploring the web for the latest trends, or working on one of many personal side projects. My work is inspired by the beauty that can be found in everyday life, and in turn my style is vibrant, eclectic, free spirited and a little bit vintage. 

I am recent graduate from the University of Delaware with a Bachelors of Science in Apparel Design who's interested in fashion design and trend forecasting, especially for ready-to-wear women's clothing. 

Currently I'm looking to secure a design or trend forecasting position in the fashion industry to gain hands-on experience, enrich my design and technical skills, and become a more versatile designer.

Doc McGrogan's Oyster House caters to clientele looking to enjoy fine dining in a more relaxed setting.  Proving to fill a niche for the seafood enthusiasts, the staff of Doc McGrogans must be well versed and educated on the menu, extensive seafood assortment, and rotating bar selections.  Responsibilities included services such as hostessing, bussing, running food, placing orders, promoting sales and maintaining an enjoyable environment, all while following proper formal dining etiquette.

Melrose on the Beach is a private beach club on Daufuskie Island, South Carolina that catered to residents of the island and families on vacation.  While a server at Melrose I provided necessary services like greeting customers, seating them based on preferences, taking orders, serving food and beverages in a timely manner, managing multiple tables in high stress situations, handling money transactions, and providing a positive experience that promoted return visits to the restaurant. Along with these tasks I also was responsible for clearing and setting tables, keeping the dining rooms and server stations clean, prep all condiments, garnishes, ice and beverages before each shift, answer phones to take questions or reservations, organize and execute paperwork for all transactions at the end of each shift and promote a positive environment for all customers and coworkers

As an intern at Moxie Boutique I am responsible for placing orders with new and existing vendors, entering new merchandise into the inventory system, creating displays and dressing mannequins, merchandising the store, monitoring the Facebook and Instagram accounts, preforming general sales associate tasks, and finally organizing and executing an advertising campaign that will generate greater sales for the store.

Intern

As a hostess my job responsibilities included answering the phones to take orders and set reservations, greet and seat customers, handle money transactions for takeout orders, manage the flow of customers for each server and control the level of orders for the kitchen, keep the hostess stand clean and organized, have a thorough knowledge of the menu to ensure that customers with allergies and restrictions would not get sick, and update all menus when new specials or seasonal plates were created.  As the first and last person seen by the customer at the restaurant, one of the most important jobs was to create a friendly and positive environment and to ensure that each customer left happy and satisfied.

Hostess

At Switch I oversaw the entire women's department and in doing so my responsibilities included ordering merchandise with current and new vendors, putting new inventory into the computer system, assigning prices to all merchandise based on profit margins, managed the Instagram and Facebook accounts, represented Switch at the Agenda Trade Show in New York City, and as a final project I designed and delivered hand-sewn pocket t-shirts and tanks that are sold in the store.

At Anthropologie I delivered greetings, assisted customers with merchandise selection, merged product on and off the floor, administered inventory, new shipment organization and cashier responsibilities.
