Design Manager

Extremely creative and well-developed Fashion Designer with over 15+ years extensive design experience from concept
development to production. Talents include swimwear, athleisure, intimates and apparel for juniors, young contemporary,
contemporary, missy and plus size missy markets.
Product development experience both domestically and internationally: China, Vietnam, Taiwan, India and Mexico.

• Research fashion and market trends to create color stories, mood boards and establish overall design direction
• Search new sources for fabrics, trims and prints
• Liaison with Production Manager to build T&A calendar
• Creating, overseeing and updating linesheets on NuOrder
• Supervise workflow through sample room with patternmakers, cutters, sewers and grader to ensure productivity
• Manage fit schedule and all communication between design, technical and production team members
• Overseeing and executing photoshoots (including finding talent, photographer, studios, etc)
• Keep production up to date with fabric and trim adoptions in accordance to T&A calendar and all deadlines

Work with international high-profile clients to develop collections from design concept through production. Clients
include Summersalt, Bandier, Spiritual Gangster, Tori Praver, Anine Bing and Tilly's.
• Categories include women's apparel, activewear, swimwear and intimates
• Manage assistant's projects and workload to ensure all deadlines are met
• Coordinate with factory in China to develop fabrics, trim, and garments
• Oversee T&A calendar for all accounts and chase deadlines as needed
• Develop tech packs. Conduct internal fittings of samples received to ensure correct fit/ specification requirements
have been met to meet customer expectations
• Work with factory to ensure pre-production sample comments and sign-offs are received in line with the calendar
in order to achieve agreed delivery dates for each client
• Maintain a daily WIP report to track all sample development stages including fabric & trim, lab dips, artwork,
strike offs, fit samples, SMS and PPS approvals so all critical timelines are met
• Ensure POs are received within agreed timelines and while maintain any changes reflected in ex-factory date,
prices, terms, style info and quantity
• Build costing spreadsheets on initial and subsequent samples while negotiating production prices w/the customer
• Ability to proactively troubleshoot and problem solve daily to ensure delivery of high quality, fully costed garments
that are profitable and meet all deadlines

• Designer of Private Label lines Jag Sport and Southpoint for Sears, Ross, Marmaxx, Bon Ton, and Beall's
• Launched a new brand for the company in Cruise 2018, Jantzen Sport
•   Conceptualized mood boards, color stories, print direction and overall design direction for all accounts
•   Knowledge of fit and construction with an understanding of costing awareness to increase margin points

Senior Designer

Head of design and development for Branded and Private Label accounts: Walmart, Target, Anthropologie, Sears,
Avenue, Catherine's, Karen Kane, Beach Scene, Boston Proper, JC Penney, Kohl's, Contour, Cover 2 Cover,
Women Within, Swimsuits For All, Stein Mart, Kmart, Mejer's, VF Corp and Fred Meyer
• Collaborate directly with sales rep in preparation for all meetings and buyer's needs
• Manage work flow between assistant designer, pattern makers, graphic artists, samples sewers, cutters and production teams

• Report directly to founder and Head Designer, Roxanne Heptner
• Design and develop collections for Left of Center for Anthropologie, W by Wilt for Neiman Marcus Last Call, and Century 21
• Work directly w/ buyers & showroom sales rep for both Anthropologie & Neiman Marcus to meet deadlines & design goals
• Create working sketches with technical accuracy to pass along to patternmakers for first patterns while
maintaining constant communication with merchandiser, patternmakers, and sewers to develop sample lines

Report directly to Design Director and co-founder to design for all categories of apparel: tops, dresses, jumpsuits,
rompers, pants, skirts, and lounge
• Head of design for Urban Outfitters account for Band of Gypsies apparel/lounge and Macy's Bar III
• Work with Senior Designer on designing for volume retailers such as Kohl's, JC Penney, Target, and K-mart as
well as other accounts such as Topshop, ASOS, Revolve, American Rag and Nordstrom
• Prepare tech packs for outsourcing of sample requests with local contractors while overseeing all sampling
including in-house pattern making and overseas development

Associate Designer

Develop, design and present the brand vision for the following labels: Beach Bunny swimwear, Beach Bunny
lounge, Love Haus lingerie, and Love Haus lounge
• Successfully contributed to the designs for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition 2014 cover and swimwear features
• Excellent understanding of the swimwear, lingerie, cover-ups and lounge design and manufacturing process; from the garment concept, through pattern making phase, to final garment assembly
