Athletics Marketing Intern

Student-athlete at California Lutheran University.

Assist the Vice President of Marketing, web team, and graphic designers in creating a variety of sports marketing material. Collaborate with all coaches to develop their team websites, summer camp flyers, and recruiting materials. Use social media to help promote athletic events, raise awareness, and increase the overall attendance to sports games. Encourage students to come to sports games by promoting prizes and competitions. Plan promotional events. Design posters and graphics to advertise playoff and championship games. Facilitate the installation of new Cal Lutheran logos and large graphics onto the scorer's table in the Gilbert Sports and Fitness Center. Provide marketing team with a student perspective and creative mind. Write emails to important fundraising groups to maintain the relationship. Handle communication between the athletic director, coaches, web team, graphic designers, athletic affairs, and marketing team.

Assist Office Manager with daily tasks. Organize and compile current and previous magazine issues. Write calendar events for magazine website. Call potential advertising clients and compile lists of contact information. Communicate with potential clients about advertising opportunities and events. Facilitate event set up and take down, show guests to their tables and record names for photo captioning. Create lists of important clientele. Kindly greet guests and take down names at events. Compile media kits and update marketing partnership proposals for clients.

Sales and Marketing Intern-LA Confidential Magazine

On Air Host of the "Kickin' It With Kelly" radio show. Entertained listeners by discussing a variety of topics including campus events, sports, and celebrity gossip. Each show included a benchmark segment called, "The Inside Scoop on Celebrity Gossip." Promoted special giveaways and took live calls from listeners. Conducted on air interviews with college athletes.

Assisted professors with daily tasks such as copying, filing, faxing, scanning, and answering phones. Handled important, private documents and money with care. Organized folders with relative documents for meetings with over 20 faculty. Trained new team members and assistants. Created multiple Excel documents. Praised by top management for efficiency and work ethic. Worked with professors to develop course specific homework/tests/quizzes to be uploaded into The Blackboard Learning System.

Office Assistant

Successfully coached 22 high school girls and achieved a 2nd place title in 2012 and a 1st place title in 2013 in Marmonte league play. Trained players in technique, team leadership, and fitness. Communicated with players about field tactics and taught them how to work well with others.
