Product Champion

Command product and operations management and marketing activities to promote key product lines and expand market share. Facilitate merchandising, sales, and advertising activities. Perform in-depth research and analysis to identify opportunities to improve sales performance, and generate reports to advise executive management team. Developing and executing strategic plans to drive revenues and profit growth for the assigned product.  Managing new product enhancements while proposing and facilitating solutions in conjunction with product development.  Able to establish and maintain communications with all functional areas as well as customers, prospects and vendors to ensure that product line meets or exceed market needs and company sales objectives.

•	Analyze market and competitive trends and define customer requirements
•	Recommending ideas for the long term vision of the product through specified sales channels
•	Own vendor opportunities by assisting sales reps and managers in promoting, qualifying and closing new business
•	Track and report sales and manage the pipeline as a recurring priority, including preparation and review of open quotes

•	Responsible for providing the sales team with the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the product. This involves printed and electronic promotional material, product training, and relevant papers.
•	Responsible for reviewing product data to ensure that the field force is kept up to date on new developments regarding the companies or competitors’ products.
•	Design market research projects to assess customer attitudes to the current product range and new product introductions. 
•	Conduct the development of the annual marketing plan and for controlling advertising, promotion and sales aids in accordance with the annual marketing plan.
•	Responsible for preparing product forecasts, and constantly monitoring inventory levels held at central warehouses including liaison with production (globally) to ensure supply timelines.
•	Liaise with the advertising agency regarding the product campaign including advertising, direct mail and conferences.
•	Managing in-life product performance: sales, margin, and churn, conducting extensive numerical analysis using company data
•	Identifying and presenting innovative and creative product solutions
•	Project management of all product integration/launches/changes throughout implementation.
•	Identifying the business and operational requirements based upon the business requirements & objectives of each product.
•	Displaying a high level of critical thinking in cross-functional process analysis and problem resolution for new and existing products.
•	Coordinating and building strong working relations with various internal organizations including; IT, Sales, Marketing, and Logistics dept.
•	Leading the development, approval, training, and communication of new products/product changes and their associated customer, operational, system, & process impacts to the various internal organizations.
•	Responsible for providing the sales team with the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the product.
