Lead Engineer

The Denver Eaton Aerospace site is relocating outside Colorado.  After 10 years with Eaton, I'm pursuing new Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering / Design opportunities in the greater Denver area.

•Qualification

•Led a multi-national/multi-site technical team on the Gulfstream G500 and G600  luxury jet Environmental Control (ECS) and Wing Anti Ice (WAI) program with little hands on supervision.
•Main point of contact to the external customer and the internal IPT for all things technical and accountable for all technical deliverables. 
•Program level reporting and presenting to Stakeholders and Senior Engineering Leadership.
•Identified program risk, established mitigation plans, and presented to leadership program status.
•Developed and led qualification program. Coordinated with FAA representative, coordinated with qualification test facility, and witnessed testing.

•Sign off authority for ECR (Class I / Class II changes), Engineering Change Order (ECO), life cycle management PLM / PDM, part design, assembly design, and tooling design. 
•Led Design for Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and supported Potential (Process) Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
•Conducted System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
•Led requirements management, validated customer level requirements that included the contract, statement of work (SOW), technical requirements document (TRD), allocated requirements, derived and flowed requirements into the sub system level and product level. Managed requirements compliance, maturity, and verification through qualification.
•Led engineering through a phase gated product development / program management process, presented to Decision Gate Community for approval to mature to next gate, PROLaunch NPD.
•Utilized Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) to reduce engineering rework, improve processes, improve product quality, design for manufacturability, and design for reliability. Concept selection Pugh Matrix and Concept Tradeoff Matrix. Root Sum Square (RSS) tolerance method. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) pairwise comparison tool, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Design of Experiments (DOE), Parameter Diagram (P-Diagram).
•Process / standards / guideline development, improvement, and implementation. Lessons learned
•Qualification planning (requirements validation), qualification test procedure technical writing, and qualification reporting (requirements verification),  certification Part 25, RTCA DO-160
•Built technical competency and utilization of an engineering team in India.

Senior Design Engineer

•F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Fuel Systems design and integration. Routed small bore tubing, large bore ducting, and designed bracketing. Couplings and hardware product selection.
•A380 Landing Gear and Brake System hydraulic hose layouts and routing. Kinematic analysis
•G650 Environmental Control Systems (ECS) , Wing Anti Ice (WAI), and Bleed Air design. Aluminum, titanium, and Inconel tube and duct routing. Coupling and hardware product selection and integration.
•Create CAD installation drawings, assembly drawings, and component level drawings and managed through release cycle, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing GD&T. 
•Managed / met interface control document (ICD ) requirements. Conducted tolerance, clearance, and fool proof analysis.
•System and product level Bill of Materials (BOM), product and system weight calculations.
•Led 8D root cause problem solving and corrective action, FRACA, FAR
test fixture designs that aid in part qualification.

Design Engineer

•Mastered communication skills, multi-tasking skills, and competency to perform under pressure.
•Trainer and Mentor, Led the resort in restaurant sales 7 years.
•Awarded "Waiter of the Year" in 1999 (a multi hotel/resort award).
