I've been fortunate enough to have grown up river guiding on the Colorado river, with a keen eye on the environmental stewardship that adventure tourism provides. I went on to study sustainable architecture at the University of Oregon. It was in my thesis project that my varried passions in design came together in the design of an Institute of Sustainability in Kunming China. I now spend the majority of my time in China leading eco-minded rafting trips on the rivers of the eastern Himalayas. I am a photographer, designer and eco-tourism consultant. Arizona Raft Adventures has been a leading operator of river trips in the Grand Canyon for 34 years. I feel privileged to have guided rafting trips for 12 years. I learned much about leadership and teamwork while catering a meal for 30 or conducting swift-water rescue. No matter where I go, or what I do, It is because of AzRA and the fine guides that taught me, that I have the confidence to succeed.
