Over the last 25 years I've worked as a creative project manager in the advertising/marketing/pr industry. I love action sports and during that time I've managed agency creative teams as well as action sports / motocross teams. I've also developed, planned and promoted local supercross events and branded ride days. I'm very passionate about everything I do and I actually started the first women's factory pro motocross team (Yamaha) to promote the brand (BluStarr) and sponsors. I then developed relationships with editors of the leading industry magazines (RacerX, TWMX) and was able to get regular coverage of our athletes and sponsors as well as an 8 page feature article about the team. I'm a brand evangelist and am very passionate about my work whether it's marketing, creative management, team/sponsorships or any other related activities and I'm excited to start my next adventure!

Drawing from my 25+ years of agency, pr, marketing, negotiation and vendor relations skills, I managed all aspects of the company including research, strategic planning, design, production/outsourcing, commerce website design/functionality, distribution, media, sponsorships and brand development. I also planned and developed our print, video, digital and event marketing campaigns to engage our target customers and develop brand awareness within our demographic. 
     
• Launched and managed BluStarr.com, the first online women’s motocross/action sports lifestyle casual wear company. 

• Created the “BluStarr.com Team” of professional female motocross athletes who participated in nationally sanctioned motocross events to promote the brand and associate it with our target market. Coordinated team travel and all other logistics as well as pre-race promotions including press releases, autograph sessions and other fan engagement opportunities.  After each event I sent out branded race reports and event results which were picked up by local and national media sources.

• Developed a series of “BluStarr” sponsored races, ride days and other branded events to reinforce the our association with the athletes and the sport. To help ensure each event’s success I developed budgets and media plans (radio/TV/Online/POP) based on our demographic’s tendencies and preferences. I then created an event “Sponsor Media Kit” to help procure secondary non-competitive, cash, co-op and media/services trade sponsors to help offset costs and increase each event’s profitability and exposure.

• Researched and retained an agency in the Reality TV industry (Endeavor) and created a BluStarr themed “Pitch Piece” about women pro motocross racers traveling the country together which was presented and well received by MTV and Original Productions (Ice Road Truckers etc…) generating two offers to go into full production.
