Previously, MacIver worked for The Atom Group as its Operations Engineer. MacIver was the founder of two independent professional services firms: MacIVER THINKING, INC. and WalkSign Consulting. Before that, MacIver was a board-elected corporate officer of Interpublic Group serving as vice president of planning and business development. He was responsible for initiatives, such as Interpublic’s Organic Growth Program, that fostered collaboration and grew the business. His responsibilities included service to the chairman and CEO, as well as other executive officers, for whom he prepared strategic briefings on business development and marketing strategies related to key clients. He also worked enthusiastically to connect Interpublic’s broad spectrum of marketing and communications companies to maximize performance in the marketplace. MacIver joined the Interpublic Group of Companies in 1996. He began as an account supervisor of interactive communication with McCann-Erickson and quickly was promoted to the position of group director responsible for building and leading a team of account, creative, design and digital technology specialists. Before that, he was an account supervisor with Burson-Marsteller, where he supervised perception management assignments across corporate, financial/investor relations, marketing and technology practice areas to produce positive business results. In 1998, MacIver was named one of the “40-Under-40” in the practice of public relations by PRWeek for his work in digital. In 2003, he was named a David Rockefeller Fellow as a promising executive in the City of New York and he matriculated with the 2003 - 2004 class of the program. MacIver received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Ithaca College as well as minors in anthropology and communication.
