I am an inquisitive professional with a passion for creating compelling products.  As an experienced industrial designer, product developer, and manager, I've had the opportunity to work on a global scale with customers, factories, and creatives over the last decade.

I'm happiest when solving problems through a holistic approach that considers both near and long term goals. Driven to delight users and exceed organizational objectives,  I bring products to fruition through a comprehensive understanding of design research, design for manufacturability, and speed to market.

When not obsessing over bags and gear, I'm usually adventuring in the mountains on a bike or snowboard while envisioning new product concepts.

• Designed molded and sewn travel goods for Ricardo, Skyway, & private label brands
• Managed design processes from concept through production to enhance productivity
• Generated strategic product maps through line plans, design briefs, and timelines 
• Worked extensively with Asian factories to develop products that met cost and launch objectives 
• Collaborated cross-organizationally with sales, logistics, and marketing teams
• Explored IOT/Smart Product concepts and orchestrated Tile tracking partnership
• Responsible for design of ~$30M of the company’s highest visibility projects
• Designed benchmark Costco Kirkland Signature luggage that produced 100K units/yr
• Launched Pendleton licensed product line in partnership with the iconic brand
• Aided in company relocation, hiring a new design team, and revitalizing the brand


Design & Development Manager

• Designed bags and packs for promotional and private label customers
• Traveled 2-4 times per year to Asia to work directly with sample rooms
• Analyzed sales and competitive assortments to map out product opportunities
• Ensured products met stringent target costs and margin objectives 
• Leveraged global trend research to competitively differentiate within the industry
• Implemented a design innovation library as a lean improvement initiative

Industrial Designer

• Developed a line of custom, domestically manufactured bicycles featured in WIT Alumni magazine and Core77.com
• Lead to the creation and management of a design intern program

• Competed as a professional level mountain bike racer
